Auditions:
TCP will announce auditions using social media. See an audition notice and contact TCP by phone or email and your information will be given to the Director and Producer to arrange an audition.
First Time Auditions
No previous preparation is needed for a straight play. Musicals typically require a prepared song, and sometime a monologue.
It is a good idea to arrive 10 mins early to fill out audition forms.
Dress comfortable or for the part whichever you choose.
The director will either offer a casting role or may ask for a call back. This could be the same day or take some time for the director to cash the performance.
If you are interested in Directing a Performance at TCP, we ask that you submit
- your directing resume
- references
- an interview will be arranged
- the production you wish to direct
- outline or rendering of set
- production budget
The Play Selection Committee will then review your application and supporting documents and arrange an interview.
If you have not had directing experience or have not direct at TCP, based on the Play Selection Committee, they may ask for a seasoned director to co-direct.
Producers at TCP assist the director of a specific production. This person(s) are responsible for audition calendar, advertisement of production, photography and headshots of production and actors, press releases, interviews, and anything the director needs assistance with.
The person(s) is responsible for collecting, finding, etc. props for the production. This person(s) makes sure cast and crew are in place for each production, set changes if needed, and more!
This Broadway hit, a composite of Neil Simon and Anton Chekhov, consists of a series of comic vignettes narrated by “The Writer.” The stories are droll, the portraits affectionate, the humor infectious and the fun unending.
